Delivery format

STEP 1 → STEP 2 (MANDATORY BRIDGE)

Before designing, translate learner insight into decisions. Review your Learner Snapshot and consider how key insights might translate into design decisions.

For example:

Learner realityDesign response
Busy learnersLimit workload to 2–3 hrs/week
Low confidenceSimple Week 1 task
Digital challengesUse simple tools + guidance
Mixed levels of experienceAdd optional support/extension

If you cannot complete this → revisit Step 1

CRITICAL DECISION: DELIVERY FORMAT

Delivery format shapes access, engagement, and success

Choose your primary format:

  • Online
  • In-person
  • Blended / hybrid

Design implications

If online:

  • Keep tools simple and mobile-friendly
  • Provide strong onboarding and structure
  • Use frequent, clear communication

If in-person:

  • Use time for interaction and application
  • Avoid lecture-heavy sessions
  • Respect time/travel constraints

If blended:

  • Be explicit about what happens where
  • Avoid duplication
  • Use each format for its strength

You will apply this across all design decisions
